Meet the founders
BuiltByFew isn’t backed by big VC money or some faceless recruiting machine. It’s built by two founders who’ve been on both sides of the mess; trying to hire for startups without draining the budget, and trying to find meaningful roles without recruiter spam and broken job boards.
We know the pain because we’ve lived it. So instead of waiting for someone else to fix it, we started building the platform we wished existed.
About Justis
Spent 15+ years growing tech companies - from scrappy startups to global brands like IBM and JustEat - leading marketing, sales ops, and demand generation. Seen every way the hiring game goes wrong: founders burning cash on job boards that don’t deliver, recruiters spamming everyone, and candidates stuck in black holes.
BuiltByFew is my way of fixing it; a fair, no-BS platform made by people who’ve actually built teams and been on both sides of the hiring mess. When I’m not building BBF, you’ll probably find me underwater on a wreck dive, chasing sharks, or planning the next big trip with a scuba tank in tow.
About Wouter
I’ve spent the last 18 years working with everything from big corporates in the financial industry to scrappy little startups, hustling to stay alive. If I’m honest, I’m drawn to the latter, like a moth to a candle in a dark room. I feel like this is where real life happens. Where dreams are birthed and where they have the chance to come true.
This is exactly why I was keen to see BuiltByFew come alive when Justis and I first kicked the idea around. Not only because we want our own little dream to come true, but because it operates in the very world that we are both drawn to.
I’m a creator at heart. Always tinkering on something. If it’s not something on BBF, it will be wooden toys for my kids, baking sour dough bread or curing some meats.
Why we built this
BuiltByFew was created because the other options were crap. Overpriced listings. Clunky interfaces. Talent pools full of noise. Founders and candidates deserve better. So we made something better.
